Saving the Club

The Bears are based at Macquarie Ice Rink, within the Macquarie Centre, in the northern suburbs of Sydney. When news first broke of the Macquarie Ice Rink’s planned demolition a few years ago, those members, the Macquarie Ice Rink community, the hockey community across Australia, the local community, and many others rallied together to save the rink.  It was around this time that Sydney Bears used Create Apparel's platform to develop a branded online shop so that members could show their support by purchasing custom designed club apparel. The full range includes training gear such as tees, hoodies, sweatshirts, caps, bags,  beanies, scarfs and even babies’ onsies for the youngest supporters!

Fans came out in force to support the club and the power supporter-base could no longer be ignored. The campaign to save the rink was ultimately successful, with the developer making a commitment to keep the rink alive.  Create Apparel is proud that our unique Merchsprint Dropshipping Technology, which ships directly to clients and saves time and money through greater efficiency, allowed the club to focus on the important mission to save its home base.
